Milan, June 22nd 2015 - TIM confered to a new company its 11,500 transmission towers of mobile phone signal. The new company now has made its debut on the Milan Stock Exchange: its name is Inwit (INfrastrutture Wireless ITaliane - Italian Wireless Infrastructure).

"The price tells us that the history of our society has convinced - said the CEO Oscar Cicchetti ringing the bell that gives the symbolic start to negotiations - Inwit is an industrial history of success, and this is a time of conclusion of a path but is also a point of arrival, a new beginning. We are born with a great and important past, one of the first Italian mobile network.."

And in fact, the model of the pole that Mr. Cicchetti has to his side during the presentation ceremony, is a faithful copy in 1:10 scale of a historic pole, installed in 1989 by calzavara in the Telecom Central "SIP OTTAVIA".

When in 1989 Italian national coverage of mobile network had just over 100,000 subscribers, this type of pole, called "SRMC" (Radio Service for Mobile Conversation), have contributed greatly to the spread of the very first mobile services in Italy.

Even today, over 25 years later, this structure is a successful example of great technical capacity and design of our country, Italy.

We, at calzavara, are very proud to have achieved first, the 39 meters tall pole in Rome and now, the scale-model used for the presentation ceremony on the Milan stock exchange.
