Udine, October 12, 2023 – The success of a company is measured not only in financial terms, but also in the social impact it is capable of generating. For this reason, Calzavara embarked on a path in 2022 aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability within its organization. This initiative involved the establishment of an Internal Sustainability Committee, the formulation of a Sustainability Plan, the initiation of a stakeholder engagement process, and the publication of the Sustainability Report as a new form of non-financial reporting.
Environment, Social, and Governance: these are the pillars on which Calzavara’s Sustainability strategy is built, seamlessly integrated into its business strategy, geared towards achieving sustainable success. These were the focal points discussed by Ilaria Sbuelz, QHSE & Sustainability Manager, during the roundtable organized by Confindustria Udine in the context of presenting its inaugural Sustainability Report.
Providing tangible testimony to the practical implementation of an environmental, social, and governance-focused strategy were also the companies Maddalena S.p.A and Fantoni S.p.A, through the accounts of Arianna Arizzi and Roberto De Re.
From the discussions held during the event, it became evident that Confindustria Udine’s Sustainability Report will undoubtedly serve as a stimulus for other Friulian companies to embark on a virtuous path towards sustainability, offering a competitive advantage to the entire region.
