On May 17, 2024, Massimo Calzavara, CEO of Calzavara Spa, participated in a seminar organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Udine, titled: “Sustainability Reporting: The New CSRD Regulation and Future Outlooks”.
Held at the headquarters of Confindustria Udine, the seminar focused on the main features of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which is redefining how European companies must disclose their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
Calzavara’s Perspective:
During his speech, Massimo Calzavara shared how the company has embedded sustainability into its industrial strategy, highlighting that the transition toward transparent and responsible business models represents an opportunity—not merely a regulatory obligation.
“The sustainability report allows us to tell our story—who we are, what we do, and what kind of impact we want to generate in our community. Today, a company’s value is no longer measured solely in financial terms, but also in its ability to foster environmental and social wellbeing,” said Calzavara.
The event brought together institutional representatives, ESG experts, and business leaders from across the Friuli Venezia Giulia region—underscoring the growing interest in sustainability across all generations of entrepreneurs.
