The city of the future, in order to become digital, inclusive and sustainable, will require a multitude of new products with high technological content that are interconnected and are high design. This is the vision of SmartKO – Smart City Key Objects – a company that Calzavara created together with Giancarlo Zema Design Group and Polis Consulting with the aim of designing and creating new useful and eco-sustainable key objects for the Smart City.
The first product that SmartKO has conceived is a smart kiosk: the reinterpretation of the traditional newspaper kiosk in a modern way.
EdiKO Smart Kiosk is the future projection of the traditional newspaper kiosk which, subject to a genuine digital transition, offers a series of advanced functions that transform it into a genuine technological centre. With its elegant forms born from the creativity of the designer, Giancarlo Zema, and with its strong emotional impact, EdiKO represents a meeting and socialization point for people, capable of providing services that improve the urban experience. EdiKO can bring computerisation to the citizen through the provision of personal data and postal service, tourism information, package delivery through electric drones.
HubKo Digital Hub is instead the version designed to be a Digital Hub for the control and management of services for the Smart City and for sustainable mobility: an e-station to accept and recharge green city mobility vehicles such as e-cars, pedal-assisted electric bicycles, electric scooters.
